Human Resources Associate
POSTING DATE: April 22, 2023
CLOSING DATE: May 12, 2023
Overview of The Role
MindOpen Learning Strategies, a growing social justice consulting firm located in New York City with a U.S. national scope, is seeking a Human Resources Associate who is committed to and passionate about creating truly engaging, accessible equitable practices, policies and systems.
This is a part-time hourly independent contractor role that is scoped for approximately 10 hours per week for an hourly payment of $25-$30 depending on experience. The HR Associate will be an independent contractor who will collaborate closely with MindOpen’s Operations and Strategy Lead and be part of a small core team and our extended network of dynamic consultants. As we are a growing firm, there is potential for business development leading to opportunity for expanded hours if desired by the contractor.
As an independent contractor, the HR Associate will have the autonomy to create their own schedule for completing milestones and goals under the terms of the contract. At present, all internal and external meetings and events are planned for remote (virtual) delivery. MindOpen Learning Strategies engages in-person programming according to agreements with clients, but is committed to maintaining flexibility to accommodate the selected contractor’s ability to be present in-person. For these reasons, the selected contractor does not need to be located in the New York City area, but does need to be prepared to be available for meetings during Eastern Daylight Time business hours.
