Rebecca Anuru

Affiliate Consultant, Trauma-informed Practice & Youth Development

Rebecca Anuru, LMSW, MPH (she/her) is a Consultant, Social Work Manager, Public Health Educator, and Project Manager currently in training to become an Organizational Psychologist. Rebecca hails from The Bronx and identifies as a queer Hood Black woman and Hood Youth Advocate! She is the Founder & Director of Dream Keep Consulting (DKC), a consulting firm dedicated to the lives and genius of Hood Black youth - holding the people that serve and take care of them accountable to doing the real work - well. DKC creates learning opportunities that promote self-reflection, community care, and activism through Facilitation & Speaking and Capacity Building services for a variety of youth-serving organizational settings and groups. Dream Keep's services honor Hood Black cultural perspectives and are deeply youth-centered. She is based in NYC Metro, but also does work nationally with DKC! Rebecca is currently pursuing her PhD in Business Psychology. She is a NYS-Licensed LMSW, holding a MSW in Management of Human Services with a focus on Children & Youth and a Child Welfare Certificate from The University of Michigan-Ann Arbor's School of Social Work. Her MPH is in Health Behavior, Health Education from The University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Her alma mater is Swarthmore College, where she received her BA in Psychology & Educational Studies with a minor in Biology. Rebecca is a life-long learner, teacher, and writer with expertise in Adolescent Youth Development, Youth Life Skills Development, Trauma & Trauma Informed Care, Mental Health, Crisis Support, Sexual Violence Prevention, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging.
